Become a Tutor…

CCL&D regularly recruits volunteers to tutor students as the need arises. Tutoring sessions usually are once a week and from one-and-a-half to two hours in length. The most common start time for tutoring is from 3 pm Monday to Thursday, and Friday at 1pm. Tutors also can assist the instructors during regular class time for Language Arts, Mathematics and Computer classes.Materials for the tutoring session are provided and guidance to the tutors is available when required. One-on-one tutoring can greatly help to enhance the student’s understanding of the necessary concepts needed to advance towards their learning goal.

Orientation and tutor training sessions are provided during the year.  If you are interested in applying as a Volunteer Tutor, please call (416) 968-6989 or email Caroline at
