Spring Course Enrolment at Daniels Centre of Learning

Daniels Centre of Learning is an adult education hub that aims to bring access to further education for the residents of Regent Park and its surrounding communities. Now in its second year of operation, the Centre is proud to be offering new and existing opportunities to residents for the Spring. All courses are free of charge:

  • George Brown College’s Personal and Career Exploration (1-4pm) and Preparation for College Entrance (6-8pm) programs will re-start on April 18 and run every Monday until May 23.
  • The University of Toronto is offering its Clothing and Civilization course, starting April 12th, and running until May 24, every Tuesday from 6 to 8pm. Childcare and refreshments will be provided free of charge for those who register.
  • Ryerson University will be launching courses in the Spring/early-Summer for Internationally-trained professionals and Seniors(50+). Both of these courses will feature specialized streams to pinpoint and enhance the skills and education of participants.
  • The Centre for Community Learning & Development’s Academic Upgrading Program accepts new students on an on-going basis. This full-time program is aimed for adults who have a desire to improve their literacy and academic skills: reading, writing, numeracy, communication management, and computer skills, leading to further education and training, or employment.

Space in each course is limited. Those interested in registering, should do so as soon as possible to ensure successful enrolment. For more information or to register for courses, please contact Daniels Centre of Learning at (647) 349-2244.
